Seized At Sea

This new 12-part series from the producers of Borderforce USA follows the work of US Customs and Border Protection officers in Puerto Rico, Florida and New Jersey as they take the fight against drug cartels and human traffickers away from the southern land border to the territorial waters of the United States.

Camera crews embedded with agents from AIR AND MARINE OPERATIONS, US BORDER PATROL and HOMELAND SECURITY INVESTIGATIONS, give viewers a ringside seat into the world of drug smuggling, human trafficking and US anti-terrorist operations that take place on a daily basis.

With the US territory of Puerto Rico being a central hub used by the Colombian cocaine lords to smuggle their product into the continental United States, it’s the task of the island’s AMO units to disrupt their operations. But alongside drug smugglers, human traffickers also operate in the Caribbean Sea, attempting to smuggle undocumented migrants from around the world into America. Not only illegal, it’s dangerous too; the boats are nearly always overcrowded and in a poor state of repair resulting in the deaths of dozens of migrants each year.

Further north, AMO teams in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, patrol the waters of the Atlantic for the same purpose as their colleagues in Puerto Rico while at the Port of Newark in New Jersey, Customs and Border Officers have their hands full dealing with contraband ranging from illegal drugs and counterfeit tobacco to stolen luxury cars being smuggled into and out of the country in shipping containers.
